The Young family needed a first floor living suite but were limited by local ordinance to 15' of width. By creating access to the center of the living space, the 36' x 15' addition seems much wider than it is.

Stained trim and earthy colors create an inviting space in the bedroom, while a vaulted ceiling and Andersen specialty windows create extra volume in what is essentially a small sitting room.

When done correctly, the exterior can blend well with the existing structure, no matter what the age.
